  1. Hi Katrina, great video! Quick question because I’m a total noob when it comes to hair, but how come you manually wrapped the hair around from the top instead of clamping it from the bottom and curling it up? Does it hang differently this way, just curious!

    • Good question! The wrap around method is just the technique used to get quick beach waves. It’s also pretty much fool proof. When you clamp down on the hair, you can easily end up with a kink if you don’t do it right. Let me know how this works out for you Marianne. Try it a couple times if it doesn’t work out right away!

    • Thanks, Bree. Try it out a few times and it should get easier. I also use Moroccan Hair Oil Conditioner which leaves my hair nice and soft with less frizz. Let me know if you need any pointers.

  2. I LOVE the beach waves look and do it often with my barrel curling iron. But there is NO WAY I couldn’t blow dry it first! My hair would look like a flat mop! You are lucky to have such FAB hair that can be styled so quickly!!! Thanks for sharing! Also, glad to have found your blog! I’m from Ottawa, now living in Toronto but all my family is back there so we visit often! Miss it there! xox

    • Aren’t beach waves just the best? My hair really improved after using the Moroccan Hair Oil conditioner. It’s just so cooperative now 🙂 So happy to connect with another Ottawan! Feel free to subscribe to the blog so you get automatic notification of posts. Hope life if good for you in Toronto, Christine.

  3. ahh this is like my favorite post of yours! i love it because i am a busy mom and this is the cutest thing to do with my hair in a hurry

  4. I feel like I need to try this. My go to is definitely a bun most days because I’m at a loss as to what to do with my hair, especially in a hurry. My hair is quite curly (frizzy most days) naturally though, and blow drying and straightening it will take way too long. When it air dries it is very poofy. I’d be interested to see if the technique will still work on this hair type.

  5. thank you for sharing the information, I was looking for information about beautiful tips for young mom who adds more and more okay appearance, and I think find the answer here. Nice Website 🙂
